Ferdinand Julius Meicho Born March 29, 1836 died Oct. 10, 1913. He married Marie Albertine Lueck born Dec. 23, 1840 died June 6, 1927.

Ferdinand and Marie Meicho landed in New York the day President Abraham Lincoln's funeral was leaving for Springfield, Illinois. The train they were on had to follow the funeral train all the way and at each depot they would stop for a memorial service. Every depot was draped in black as was the train. That was in 1865.

William Meicho was Elizabeth Meicho Marx's brother who moved to Seattle, Washington probably in the 1920s. His grandson, Jim Meicho lives near Seattle.

The Meichos were Lutherans and Elizabeth Meicho Marx converted when she married our Grandfather who was Catholic.

Ferdinand married Marie Albertine LUECK, daughter of Christian Fredrick LUECK and Fredricka ZIEGENHAGGEN (Seigan-Hanger), about 1862. (Marie Albertine LUECK was born on 23 Dec 1840 in Kuertow Arnswalde,Prussia (Germany) and died on 6 Jun 1927 in Springfield,IL ¹⁹.)
